- SMART Formulator, LLC. has been in the Enterprise Formulations space for over 13 years and we have two products, SMART Formulator-PLM for complete formulation based product development from Concept-to-Commercialization of a product & SMART Manufacturing-ERP which is our Batch Production & Inventory Software solutions for Contract Manufacturing Organizations and process manufacturing organizations. Many factories are leveraging our specialized SMART Manufacturing ERP software as it is build on our expertise on Process Manufacturing and contract and private label manufacturers industry that has special needs and our workflow is very much aligned to what happens at these manufacturing companies. John Polson and Dr. George Polson started this as there was a need for a formulations PLM platform and eventually build the SMART Manufacturing-ERP for manufacturing organizations to ease their pain of product development from "Concept-To-Commercialization" leveraging our Stage-Gate approach to project management and product development and set process to get a product out the door with lots of checks and balances in place. Once the product is finalized, then you can scale up using our SMART Manufacturing-ERP system which tracks right from "ORDER-TO-CASH"; manages your overall manufacturing operations from “order taking to execution”, batching, quality control/approvals, COA creations/approvals, Ingredient Labeling, Components/packaging, Line Filling & Packaging, Raw Material inventory and component allocation, overall Quality checks & balances in place etc. to Shipping & Sales Invoicing. In the event of an FDA audit, with "one-click" you can gather all the pertinent information with complete traceability on the manufactured batch lot.
